[ʒan'kɛ̃], Jannequin, Clément, französischer Komponist, * wahrscheinlich Châtellerault um 1485, ✝ Paris 1558; war u. a. Kaplan in Angers und ließ sich 1549 in Paris nieder, wurde 1555 Sänger der königlichen Kapelle, dann »Compositeur ordinaire« am französischen Hof. Janequin komponierte etwa 280 Chansons, besonders bekannt wurden u. a. »La guerre« oder »La bataille de Marignan«, »Le chant des oiseaux«, »La chasse« und »Les cris de Paris«.
